MY ANXIETY IN 65 SECONDS.
My anxiety is complicated.
My anxiety is simple.
My anxiety is stupid.
My anxiety is justifiable.
My anxiety is triggered by everything.
My anxiety is triggered by nothing.
My anxiety makes my heart stop.
My anxiety pumps the blood faster, so the pumps double as it speeds up the beating.
My anxiety beats on me
at the most inconvenient times.
My anxiety is loud as it barges through my front door,
when I am alone
causing sleepless nights.
My anxiety is patient
My anxiety is restless
My anxiety is unsure
My anxiety trusts no one and nothing
My anxiety trust no things
My anxiety wants to touch all over me
My anxiety wants to bite all the skin off my fingernails as they continue to scar up, swell up and bleed.
My anxiety is a curse
My anxiety is prison
My anxiety is hopeless
My anxiety is winning
but my anxiety is a blessing
yes, I am certain that it is
my anxiety has blessed me
with the strength to start a panic
inescapable like the sound of trembling mountains all around me
and all the while
I can still breathe
